July 2024 Updates @ Looking Glass 😎
See what Looking Glass has been up to in our July Updates!

Hey hologram people!

It’s Reid here with our latest monthly update and wow, what a month it's been! From coast to coast, classrooms to film festivals, we’ve got quite a bit to catch up on. So, sit back and relax, and I’ll take you through the fun stuff we’ve been getting up to ↓

Next Stop: Siggraph with NVIDIA 🚀

See you there?

Hold onto your holograms, folks!

We're back at Siggraph! Find us at NVIDIA's Innovation Zone with our new group viewable Looking Glass 16" and 32" Spatial Displays giving an immersive experience powered by NVIDIA AI and NVIDIA AI Developer - you won’t want to miss it!

Bonus! NVIDIA even gave us a shoutout in their recent blog for the event. 🤩

Classroom Case Study 📚

Boogity boogity boogity, let's make some holograms!

A reply to my June Updates led to a brand new case study! After seeing a 3D stock car racing scene created by a student (and as a motorsports fan myself), I had to learn more.

Discover how Mr. Johnstone at The Manchester School of Technology is using Looking Glass Displays to spark creativity in his Game Design class here. 🏎️

Liteforms Power Boost 💪

What will you create? Let us know!

We've just rolled out a powerful update to Liteforms - our no-code builder to create conversational AI characters on Looking Glass! 🎉

Upgraded to support our Gen3 hardware and VRM access for all users → you can now create custom avatars in tools like Blender and bring them to life in Liteforms! Plus, there's several improvements under the hood, some of which include an upgrade to GPT-4o and enhanced knowledge search.. Get to creating today!

Community Catch Up 🤝

Arturo looking as informative as ever a the NYVR Meetup!

The talented Looking Glass community is constantly in action. Here’s a quick roundup:

→ NYC VR Meetup: Community Manager, Arturo, had a blast at the NYCVR meetup, sharing Looking Glass with the local VR community!
→ A beginners guide to AI holograms: Our friend, Jim the AI Whisperer, penned a new blog, and it's a perfect primer for beginners using Luna, Blender, and Looking Glass.
→ Class is in session with Professor Massimo: Talented creator Massimo (@mv.nyc) crafted a video tutorial on making 3D holograms with a Looking Glass Portrait and Blender. Check out his step-by-step guide here.

Hey.. Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing a little theme here? Hmmm - it seems like we’re breaking down the technical barriers for spatial content a little more each day. We’ll have an exciting update on that for you soon. 👀

Last Chance: Portrait Clearance Sale Ending! ⏰

I like to imagine the astronaut is running to their laptop to grab a Portrait!

Our Looking Glass Portrait, one of the first personal holographic displays ever, is in its final production run — and we won’t be making any more!

  • 2 for $350 ($124 each)
  • 5 for $800 ($139 each)

Lights, Camera, Holograms! 🎬

Mark your calendars - we're part of the Greenpoint Film Festival from August 7-11 right here in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. If you're in the area, we'd love to see you there! More details to share soon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this year's exciting trailer!

Pre-order Pricing: The Final Countdown ⏳

Our special pre-order pricing on the Looking Glass Go and 16" Spatial Display is coming to an end soon. If you've been considering getting one, now's the time to lock in those pre-order prices! ↓

AWE-some Memories 🌟

We also had a full booth for our displays!

Last month, I left you off with a pretty cool announcement: we were heading back to AWE. Well, we went, and the team had an amazing time! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hi and see our new range of spatial displays.

Relive some of the memories on our social media: featured in the XR History Museum, take a walk through the event, Looking Glass at other booths.

Phew! What a month 🤠

I shouldn’t be too surprised. Since joining just a few weeks ago, the team is constantly blowing me away with their dedication to our dream of the hologram. As always, we're grateful for your support and enthusiasm for us, and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates next month!

Until then,
To the future!
