The Looking Glass 27”

Unveiled in April 2025, the Looking Glass 27" is engineered to deliver immersive, multi-user 3D experiences, all without headsets, glasses, or special gear. It furthers the company’s vision of liberating 3D from the constraints of single-user devices, making it ideal for innovation labs, research centers, educational institutions, training facilities, brand activations, retail environments, and entertainment venues.

Boasting 5k resolution within a sleek 1 inch thick design, the 27" display projects an astonishing 12 inches of virtual depth, creating 3D experiences that captivate audiences and enhance visual communication for groups. Recent software advancements even enable the displays to be powered by iPads in addition to GPU-enabled computers, significantly reducing the operational footprint and delivering an approximate 60% system-level cost reduction compared to its predecessor.

The Looking Glass 27" is available on the Looking Glass website for $10,000 (MSRP).

New Software Updates

Looking Glass is also rolling out new software updates that make it even easier for developers and creators to create applications, show content, and leverage open source tools.

Create Applications:

  • Bridge SDK: Developers can build or integrate custom applications using a native SDK for OpenGL, DirectX, and Metal. Samples for C++, C#, and Python.
  • Updated Unity Plugin: Easily visualize your 3D Unity scenes in the Looking Glass, build fully interactive 3D applications for Looking Glass on PC, Mac, or iOS, and preview scenes with live editor view in a Looking Glass display.

Show Content:

  • Updated Looking Glass Studio: The latest version of Looking Glass Studio supports iOS and allows users to playback pre-rendered image and video content from Unity, Unreal, Blender, or standard 2D images and videos with generated depth.
  • 3D Model Viewer: Users now have access to explode and slice views of their 3D models to better visualize the internal components of a model, and can view a list of sub-meshes that provide full insight into those components. Coming in July.
  • CAD support to 3D Model Viewer: Architects, engineers, and professionals utilizing CAD software can now visualize their designs in immersive 3D using Looking Glass. Coming in July.

Leverage Open Source Tools:

  • Open-sourced Blender, WebXR, and Unreal Plugin: By open-sourcing several plugins, developers are now able to extend and customize the software to meet their specific needs. The open-sourced Unreal plugin will be released in July.

All of the software updates can be found on the Software page of the Looking Glass website.
