#75: Holographic Platform Games
Platform games span back to the 1970's and hold a fond place in just about everyone's heart. From classic titles that people have enjoyed since the dawn of video games, even currently on mobile devices, it isn't hard to see why platform games are still being made even in the Age of the Hologram.
Case in point: Gladiotron, a comic currently being adapted into a game by Canadian developer Gavin Ball.

Centered around classic themes like good vs evil, faith, and perseverance in the face of difficulty, Gladiotron takes us on an exciting journey that inspires us to never give up.
Recently at the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo in Toronto, Gavin collaborated with ThatHologramGuy to display his Blender-made characters and environments as holograms in the Looking Glass. This gave attendees the chance to preview the game in an engaging and immersive way.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to collaborate on "Gladiotron" at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre at EGLX! Gladiotron may be one of the first ever platformers for the #lookingglass holographic display! More on that to come in the future... @LKGGlass @haddockinvent pic.twitter.com/OMXBPYe1RI

As the game is still being developed, if you want a taste of what's to come you'll have to keep up with Gladiotron's website. If you've been keeping up with 100 Days of Holograms since the beginning, then you already know that we have a holographic viewport for Blender users in beta. This means we'll hopefully be able to play this platform game in the Looking Glass one day soon!
*this is part of our “100 Days of Holograms” series, where we from Looking Glass Factory post one new wonderful or weird (or both!) use for the Looking Glass holographic display each day.
